Aby sotrela t\u00fato krv a tieto slzy, sdru\u017eila sa v Slovenskej lige v Amerike.\u201c<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>(&#8230;) Slovensk\u00e1 Liga v Amerike si do vienka vzala pestova\u0165 slovensk\u00fa hrdos\u0165 a sebavedomie. Nikde slovensk\u00e9 sebavedomie nevzr\u00e1stlo tak mocne, ako pr\u00e1ve v Amerike. A preto, ke\u010f sa tam hovorilo o n\u00e1rodnom programe slovenskom, prv\u00fd raz od smrti \u0160t\u00farovej doby padlo znova programov\u00e9 heslo: My m\u00e1me n\u00e1rok aj na slovensk\u00fd \u0161t\u00e1t. \u0160t\u00e1tnos\u0165 je vyvrcholen\u00edm n\u00e1rodn\u00e9ho sebavedomia, i n\u00e1rodn\u00e9ho \u017eivota. N\u00e1rod bez \u0161t\u00e1tu aj v \u0161t\u00e1te najpokrokovej\u0161om a najslobodnej\u0161om speje \u010di r\u00fdchlej\u0161ie, ci pomal\u0161ie ale iste k \u00fapln\u00e9mu z\u00e1niku a nikdy nie k dokonal\u00e9mu rozvitiu n\u00e1rodn\u00fdch, kult\u00farnych, soci\u00e1lnych i hospod\u00e1rskych vlastnost\u00ed n\u00e1roda.
