Po\u010diatky teoretick\u00e9ho rozpracovania mana\u017ementu spadaj\u00fa do druhej polovice 19. storo\u010dia v\u00a0USA, odkia\u013e sa \u0161\u00edrili do ostatn\u00fdch kraj\u00edn. P\u00f4vodne sa mana\u017ement zameriaval na problematiku zv\u00fd\u0161enia pracovn\u00e9ho v\u00fdkonu robotn\u00edkov a\u00a0t\u00fdm zv\u00fd\u0161enia samotnej v\u00fdroby. Rozvoj te\u00f3ri\u00ed mana\u017ementu po druhej svetovej vojne bol v\u00fdsledkom uvedomenia si v\u00fdznamu riadenia pre efekt\u00edvnos\u0165 organiz\u00e1cie ako aj zvy\u0161ovanie rivality, konkurencieschopnosti a\u00a0pokroku nielen v\u00a0oblasti hospod\u00e1rstva, ale aj v\u00a0in\u00fdch sf\u00e9rach \u013eudskej \u010dinnosti.
