Jeho n\u00e1zov je odvoden\u00fd od gr\u00e9ckeho slova <em>skepsis<\/em> (\u03c3\u03ba\u03ad\u03c8\u03b9\u03c2), ktor\u00e9 znamen\u00e1 pozorovanie, uva\u017eovanie, oh\u013ead, \u00favaha, sk\u00famanie. Za zakladate\u013ea skepticizmu b\u00fdva pova\u017eovan\u00fd Pyrrh\u00f3n z\u00a0\u00c9lidy na Pelopon\u00e9ze. Bol o\u00a0gener\u00e1ciu star\u0161\u00ed ako Epik\u00faros a\u00a0Z\u00e9n\u00f3n. Poch\u00e1dzal z\u00a0chudobn\u00fdch pomerov a\u00a0\u017eivil sa ako maliar. \u0160tudoval u\u00a0viacer\u00fdch filozofov a\u00a0ako \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk Alexandrovej cesty na v\u00fdchod sa stretol s\u00a0indick\u00fdmi brahmanmi, ktor\u00ed vraj ovplyvnili jeho myslenie. Po n\u00e1vrate do Gr\u00e9cka sa usadil ne\u010faleko rodnej \u00c9lidy.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Napriek tomu, \u017ee Pyrrh\u00f3n mal mnoh\u00fdch obdivovate\u013eov, nikdy nezalo\u017eil \u017eiadnu \u201e\u0161kolu\u201c ani ni\u010d nenap\u00edsal. Dozved\u00e1me sa o\u00a0\u0148om od jeho \u017eiaka Tim\u00f3na z\u00a0Flei\u00fantu, z\u00a0ktor\u00e9ho diela <em>Posme\u0161ky<\/em> (<em>Silloi<\/em>) sa n\u00e1m zachovalo nieko\u013eko desiatok zlomkov. P\u00f4vodne sa Tim\u00f3n \u017eivil ako tane\u010dn\u00edk a\u00a0r\u00f4zne sa vzdel\u00e1val. Uchv\u00e1ten\u00fd Pyrrh\u00f3nom sa aj s\u00a0rodinou pres\u0165ahoval do \u00c9lidy. Po jeho smrti ve\u013ea cestoval, umrel v\u00a0At\u00e9nach.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Antick\u00fd skepticizmus m\u00e1 dve z\u00e1kladn\u00e9 l\u00ednie. Prvou je pyrrhonizmus, ktor\u00fd sa rozv\u00edjal na za\u010diatku a\u00a0na konci helenizmu. V\u00a0ranej f\u00e1ze t\u00fato l\u00edniu reprezentuj\u00fa spomenut\u00ed Pyrrh\u00f3n a\u00a0Tim\u00f3n (4. \u2013 3. st. p.\u00a0n.\u00a0l.), v\u00a0neskorej Ainesid\u00e9mos, Agrippa a\u00a0Sextos Empeirikos (1. \u2013 3. st. n. l.). Druhou l\u00edniou je akademick\u00fd skepticizmus (3. \u2013 1. st. p.\u00a0n.\u00a0l.), ktor\u00fd sa rozv\u00edjal v\u00a0tzv. Strednej plat\u00f3nskej Akad\u00e9mii, a\u00a0ku ktor\u00e9mu patrili Arkesilaos a\u00a0Karnead\u00e9s.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d2c4c2f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d2c4c2f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Prirodzenos\u0165 vec\u00ed<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3b1f571 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3b1f571\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 V\u00a0z\u00e1vere kapitoly venovanej helenizmu sme odcitovali pas\u00e1\u017e, v\u00a0ktorej Pyrrh\u00f3nov \u017eiak Tim\u00f3n hovoril, \u017ee ten, kto sa chce sta\u0165 bla\u017een\u00fdm (<em>eudaim\u00f3n<\/em>), si mus\u00ed zodpoveda\u0165 tri ot\u00e1zky: 1)\u00a0ak\u00e1 je prirodzenos\u0165 vec\u00ed, 2)\u00a0ak\u00fdm sp\u00f4sobom sa m\u00e1me vo\u010di veciam spr\u00e1va\u0165, 3)\u00a0\u010do z\u00a0toho vyplynie pre t\u00fdch, ktor\u00ed sa bud\u00fa tak\u00fdmto (adekv\u00e1tnym) sp\u00f4sobom spr\u00e1va\u0165 (Eusebius, <em>Praep. evang.<\/em> XIV, 18, 2,4 \u2013 3,1). Uk\u00e1\u017eeme si, ak\u00fdm sp\u00f4sobom si na tieto tri ot\u00e1zky odpoved\u00e1 skeptik.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Na prv\u00fa ot\u00e1zku, t\u00fdkaj\u00facu sa prirodzenosti vec\u00ed, vraj Pyrrh\u00f3n odpovedal tvrdiac, \u017ee veci s\u00fa \u201ecelkom rovnako nerozl\u00ed\u0161ite\u013en\u00e9, nemerate\u013en\u00e9 a\u00a0nerozhodnute\u013en\u00e9\u201c (Eusebius, <em>Praep. evang.<\/em> XIV, 18, 3,2 \u2013 3). Na rozdiel od celej gr\u00e9ckej filozofickej trad\u00edcie, vych\u00e1dza Pyrrh\u00f3n z \u201emetafyzick\u00e9ho\u201c predpokladu, \u017ee samotn\u00e1 <em>fysis<\/em> v\u00a0sebe neobsahuje nejak\u00fd typ poriadku (nie je v\u00a0nej ani stoick\u00e1 nutnos\u0165, ani epikurejsk\u00e1 n\u00e1hoda, ani ni\u010d in\u00e9). Nutn\u00fdm d\u00f4sledkom tohto provoka\u010dn\u00e9ho tvrdenia je, \u017ee \u201ena\u0161e zmysly ani n\u00e1zory ani nehovoria pravdu, ani sa nem\u00fdlia\u201c (Eusebius, <em>Praep. evang.<\/em> XIV, 18, 3,3 \u2013 4). O\u00a0svete, ktor\u00fd je s\u00e1m indiferentn\u00fd, nie je mo\u017en\u00e9 vypoveda\u0165 ani pravdu ani nepravdu. \u010co ale potom m\u00f4\u017eeme v\u00f4bec robi\u0165, ako sa spr\u00e1va\u0165, ke\u010f ni\u010d \u010do je, nie je ist\u00e9?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-89327f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"89327f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Ako sa k veciam spr\u00e1va\u0165<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0f96b13 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0f96b13\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cie\u013eom Pyrrh\u00f3novej filozofie s\u00a0najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ou pravdepodobnos\u0165ou nebola epistemol\u00f3gia ale etika. Prich\u00e1dzame k\u00a0odpovedi na druh\u00fa ot\u00e1zku: ak\u00fdm sp\u00f4sobom sa m\u00e1me spr\u00e1va\u0165 k\u00a0veciam, ktor\u00e9 s\u00fa indiferentn\u00e9. Ak s\u00fa veci indiferentn\u00e9, potom pod\u013ea skeptikov \u201em\u00e1me by\u0165 bez n\u00e1zoru, neprikl\u00e1\u0148a\u0165 sa ani na jednu stranu a\u00a0by\u0165 neochvejn\u00ed. O\u00a0ka\u017edej jednej veci m\u00e1me hovori\u0165, \u017ee o\u00a0ni\u010d viac je, ako nie je\u201c (Eusebius, <em>Praep. evang.<\/em> XIV, 18, 3,4 \u2013 4,1).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 T\u00e9zou <em>\u00fa mallon<\/em> \u2013 o\u00a0ni\u010d viac (toto ako tamto) skeptici nepopierali, \u017ee svet je a\u00a0\u017ee ho vn\u00edmame, ale sna\u017eili sa vyhn\u00fa\u0165 ak\u00e9muko\u013evek hodnoteniu. \u201e[My skeptici] nepopierame, \u017ee \u010dlovek vid\u00ed, ale len nevieme, ako vid\u00ed. Uzn\u00e1vame toti\u017e to, \u010do sa jav\u00ed, ale netvrd\u00edme, \u017ee je aj skuto\u010dne tak\u00e9. Tie\u017e c\u00edtime, \u017ee ohe\u0148 p\u00e1li, zdr\u017eiavame sa v\u0161ak odpoveda\u0165, \u010di m\u00e1 p\u00e1liacu prirodzenos\u0165 (<em>fysis<\/em>). Podobne vid\u00edme, \u017ee niekto sa pohybuje a\u00a0\u017ee hynie. Nevieme v\u0161ak, ako sa toto deje. Staviame sa len \u2013 ako hovoria \u2013 proti nezjavn\u00e9mu, ktor\u00e9 stoj\u00ed za zjavn\u00fdm.\u201c (D. L. 9, 104, 8 \u2013 10). Ako vid\u00edme, skeptik na svet okolo seba bez probl\u00e9mov reaguje. Ke\u010f\u017ee je v\u0161ak presved\u010den\u00fd, \u017ee svet je nepoznate\u013en\u00fd, zdr\u017eiava sa v\u00fdpoved\u00ed o\u00a0\u0148om, zdr\u017eiava sa \u201enezjavn\u00fdch\u201c vysvetlen\u00ed \u201ezjavn\u00fdch\u201c fenom\u00e9nov. Z\u00e1kladn\u00fdm postojom skeptika sa tak st\u00e1va <em>epoch\u00e9<\/em> (\u1f10\u03c0\u03bf\u03c7\u03ae) \u2013 zdr\u017eanie sa s\u00fadu.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Skeptici sami seba pova\u017eovali za pochybova\u010dov (<em>apor\u00e9tikoi<\/em>), sk\u00famate\u013eov (<em>skeptikoi<\/em> \u2013 odtia\u013e aj ich pomenovanie), zdr\u017eanlivcov (<em>efektikoi<\/em>) a\u00a0h\u013eada\u010dov (<em>z\u00e9t\u00e9tikoi<\/em>) (D. L. 9, 69, 13). V\u0161etky ostatn\u00e9 filozofick\u00e9 \u0161koly ozna\u010dovali za \u201edogmatick\u00e9\u201c, t. j. \u201etvrdiace\u201c a\u00a0\u010dasto vyvracali ich tvrdenia (<em>dogmata<\/em> \u2013 hanliv\u00fd v\u00fdznam toto slovo nadobudne a\u017e ove\u013ea nesk\u00f4r) (D. L. 9, 74, 1). Touto svojou \u010dinnos\u0165ou don\u00fatili mnoh\u00e9 zo \u0161k\u00f4l premyslie\u0165, preformulova\u0165, \u010di argumenta\u010dne vylep\u0161i\u0165 ich p\u00f4vodn\u00e9 tvrdenia. Obzvl\u00e1\u0161\u0165 s\u00a0rados\u0165ou si takto skeptici \u201epod\u00e1vali\u201c stoikov.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b84488 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1b84488\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Epoch\u00e9<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f6c4bf7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f6c4bf7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prim\u00e1rnym cie\u013eom prv\u00fdch skeptikov v\u0161ak nebolo nap\u00e1da\u0165 tvrdenia konkuren\u010dn\u00fdch \u0161k\u00f4l. Adept skepticizmu sa prostredn\u00edctvom t\u00e9zy \u201eo\u00a0ni\u010d viac\u201c u\u010d\u00ed, \u017ee ka\u017ed\u00e9 tvrdenie o\u00a0skuto\u010dnosti (\u010di u\u017e \u201epr\u00edrodnej\u201c alebo \u201esoci\u00e1lnej\u201c) je mo\u017en\u00e9 vyvr\u00e1ti\u0165. U\u010d\u00ed sa \u201eargumentova\u0165 na obe strany\u201c, teda n\u00e1js\u0165 dostato\u010dn\u00e9 mno\u017estvo argumentov v\u00a0prospech nejak\u00e9ho tvrdenia a\u00a0z\u00e1rove\u0148 aj v\u00a0prospech neg\u00e1cie dan\u00e9ho tvrdenia. Z\u00a0toho mu nakoniec vyplynie, \u017ee nejestvuje \u017eiadne tak\u00e9 tvrdenie (\u010di protitvrdenie), ktor\u00e9 by bolo mo\u017en\u00e9 ozna\u010di\u0165 za jednozna\u010dne pravdiv\u00e9 alebo nepravdiv\u00e9.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 V\u00fdcvikom v\u00a0uvedomovan\u00ed si rovnosti v\u0161etk\u00fdch tvrden\u00ed sa adept skepticizmu cvi\u010d\u00ed v\u00a0\u201eneprikl\u00e1\u0148an\u00ed\u201c sa k\u00a0nejakej strane, aby tak dospel a\u017e k\u00a0<em>epoch\u00e9<\/em> \u2013 zbaveniu sa s\u00fadu o\u00a0veciach \u2013 schopnosti \u201eni\u010d nevymedzova\u0165 a\u00a0o\u00a0ni\u010dom sa nevyjadrova\u0165 v\u00a0zmysle nesporn\u00e9ho tvrdenia\u201c (Gal\u00e9nos, <em>De opt<\/em>. <em>doctr<\/em>. 1, 40,1 \u2013 7).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>Epoch\u00e9<\/em> \u2013 v\u00fdraz s\u00a0ktor\u00fdm sa stret\u00e1vame v\u00a0Husserlovej fenomenol\u00f3gii a\u00a0v\u00a0gestalt terapii \u2013 m\u00e1 svoj terapeutick\u00fd rozmer aj v\u00a0pyrrh\u00f3nskom skepticizme. Skeptici zd\u00f4raz\u0148ovali, \u017ee odstr\u00e1nen\u00edm na\u0161ich presved\u010den\u00ed odstr\u00e1nime namyslenos\u0165 a\u00a0hnevlivos\u0165. To vraj dosved\u010doval aj samotn\u00fd Pyrrh\u00f3n svoj\u00edm \u017eivotn\u00fdm pr\u00edbehom. Pod\u013ea Diogena Laertsk\u00e9ho bol Pyrrh\u00f3n v\u00a0mladosti vznetliv\u00fd, ale nesk\u00f4r, vycvi\u010den\u00fd skeptickou met\u00f3dou, v\u017edy zachov\u00e1val rovnak\u00fd postoj a\u00a0tv\u00e1rnos\u0165 (D. L. 9, 63). Tim\u00f3n jeho pokoj dokonca prirovn\u00e1val k\u00a0pokojn\u00e9mu \u017eivotu boha H\u00e9lia \u2013 Slnka (D. L. 9, 65, 7 \u2013 9). To vraj nakoniec ocenila aj Pyrrh\u00f3nova rodn\u00e1 \u00c9lida ktor\u00e1 ho poctila t\u00fdm, \u017ee ho ustanovila ve\u013ek\u0148azom a\u00a0kv\u00f4li nemu odhlasovala oslobodenie v\u0161etk\u00fdch filozofov od dan\u00ed (D. L. 9, 64).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Videli sme, \u017ee tak epikurejci ako aj stoici vych\u00e1dzali z\u00a0predpokladu, \u017ee \u013eudsk\u00e1 prirodzenos\u0165 je presne dan\u00e1 a\u00a0\u017ee \u010dlovek prirodzene smeruje k\u00a0tomu, \u010do je pre neho (prirodzene) dobr\u00e9 (\u010di u\u017e rozko\u0161 u\u00a0epikurejcov alebo sebazachovanie u\u00a0stoikov).
